AtkinsRéalis is a leading provider of engineering and environmental services, delivering innovative solutions to complex problems. We are seeking a senior soil reuse and waste permitting expert to join our team, working on a range of infrastructure projects across the UK.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in soils materials re-use and waste permitting, with a focus on earthworks related permitting, landfill permitting, and sustainable re-use of soils on large infrastructure projects and construction sites. Key responsibilities will include project management, technical support, liaison with clients and stakeholders, health and safety management, and technical guidance and mentoring for junior staff.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven track record of providing technical advice on soils waste management in earthworks, construction, and remediation.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, technical guidance, industry standards, and best practice in waste regulations and DoW CoP.
  • Technical knowledge of waste assessments, bespoke waste permit applications, and waste classification and duty of care.
  • Relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel throughout the UK for short-term assignments.

Estimated salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
