About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Algorithm Product Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of technical individuals, providing support and clarity of direction to enable them to achieve their best.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in algorithm development and a proven track record of leading technical teams. You will be responsible for collaborating with systems engineering teams to understand algorithm requirements and their operational context, steering and supporting the high-level design of algorithms that meet system requirements, and collaborating with software teams to facilitate algorithm implementation and deployment.

You will also be responsible for ensuring reliable, robust algorithms through fostering the adoption of rigorous procedures and best working practices, influencing how we develop algorithms within the team and more widely, and representing the team and its work to senior leadership and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of technical individuals
  • Collaborate with systems engineering teams to understand algorithm requirements
  • Steer and support the high-level design of algorithms
  • Collaborate with software teams to facilitate algorithm implementation and deployment
  • Ensure reliable, robust algorithms through rigorous procedures and best working practices
  • Influence algorithm development within the team and more widely
  • Represent the team and its work to senior leadership and external partners
Requirements
  • Experience in leading technical teams and taking responsibility for their personal development
  • Experience in overseeing and delivering complex technical projects
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in-line with customer demand
  • Ability to motivate team to focus on specific objectives
