Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities and Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at Halewood. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the installation of new model facilities throughout the final assembly area.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and implement industry-leading practices. You will provide engineering support as an electrical/mechanical engineer, working with both current and future car lines, to maximise production efficiencies, maintain all associated plant equipment, and be responsible for first line response to requests/issues with equipment/processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment framework. • Analyze facility data to investigate and improve the performance and efficiency throughout the production system, integrating closely with other manufacturing departments. • Provide technical expertise to team problem-solving activities to accurately identify root cause, corrective, and preventative actions. • Investigate and present engineering solutions to the senior management team. • Support senior management reviews to report on facility status and projects.

Requirements:

• Technical (mechanical/electrical/software) engineering skills gained within the manufacturing industry. • Detailed knowledge of automation systems (robot cells, overhead/floor conveyors, AGVs, glazing facilities, high-speed cranes, fluid fill equipment, and bespoke automation systems). • Experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving. • Great organisational skills for working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
