Data Engineering Consultant

About the Role

Lorien is seeking a talented Data Engineer/MLOPS to join their growing data practice, who will be responsible for supporting the overall Data Engineering Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve data engineering tools, workflows, and processes.
  • Communicate with the Software and Data Science teams to integrate new data management technologies.
  • Develop tooling and improve back testing frameworks.
  • Orchestrate machine learning workflows, MLOps.
  • Centralise diverse datasets for analytics, visualisation, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency with Orchestration and IaC in AWS, Git, containerisation, database management, and monitoring frameworks.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Extensive Python experience.
  • Excellent data pipelining building experience.
  • Familiarity with time-series forecasting and/or optimisation.
  • Knowledge of UK power markets is advantageous.

What We Offer

£70,000 - £75,000 per annum, hybrid working pattern 1-2 days per week in Oxford office, and a permanent position.
