Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers in our Supported Living services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping, to enable individuals to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans, ensuring that the needs and goals of service users are met.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in health and social care.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 2) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of supporting or caring for others, particularly those with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people, including those with learning disabilities, their families, and colleagues.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills to enable competent and accurate recording and reporting.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and support service users with domestic tasks as required.
