Job Description

Job Title: Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager

Job Summary:

The Prax Group is a multinational conglomerate specializing in upstream exploration and production, refining, storage, distribution, and sales of crude oil, petroleum products, and biofuels. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies throughout the full life cycle of our operations, both onshore and offshore.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, including PETS Applications and SAT Application Types, for drilling, pipeline operations, wells, production operations, decommissioning, and standalone activities.
  • Administer the EEMS database, set OSPAR EEMS requirements, and prepare OPEPS, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Environmental Statements.
  • Propose and monitor annual environmental targets and objectives, as well as weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental returns.
  • Liaise with other West of Shetland Operators to exchange environmental information and lessons learned.
  • Lead environmental survey responses and consultations, including Atmospherics Technical Group, Energy and Climate Policy Forum, Gas Forum, Environment Operators Technical Group, and Government Relations Group.
  • Monitor changes to environmental legislation and advise personnel on compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE&Q corporate policies and applicable legislation.
  • Establish, review, and revise environmental policies and plans to ensure they remain current for Prax Upstream activities.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or equivalent with relevant application to the oil and gas industry.
  • Chartered Member of a professional environmental body.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience of UKCS field development, specifically knowledge of associated reporting and operational requirements.
  • Proven environmental leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of current environmental indicators and techniques for enhancing EH&S performance, as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
