Substance Use Support Specialist

As a Peer Support Worker at Turning Point, you'll be an advocate, mentor, and coach for service users, supporting them to achieve their goals around treatment. This is a varied role that requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery.
You'll work closely with our Recovery Workers to provide person-centered support to clients, offering advice, information, and guidance to help them access support in the community. Your own lived experience of substance use issues will be invaluable in this role, and you may come from a background in health and social care or have a keen interest in supporting this group.
The salary for this role is £27,850 + £3,633 ILW per year, rising to £30,483 + £3,633 ILW, dependent on experience. You'll also have opportunities to progress your career through a structured learning journey and clearly defined career pathways.
