Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Staffing Professionals Ltd. As an ITU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to patients, taking into account their medical history and current condition.
- Manage Ventilators: Monitor and manage ventilators to ensure patients receive the necessary oxygen and respiratory support.
- Monitor Patient Conditions: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and medical conditions, responding promptly to any changes or complications.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and other nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Adhere to Hospital Safety Protocols: Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
- NMC Registration: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- CVC Competence: Proven competence in managing central venous catheters (CVC) within the last 12 months.
- ITU Experience: Minimum of one year in an ITU setting.
- Clinical Skills: Strong critical care skills and the ability to manage complex patient cases independently.
- Flexibility: Available for day and night shifts, including weekends.
