We are seeking a highly skilled graduate to lead and deliver a project with Tod Technology, a world-leading designer and manufacturer of advanced composite structures for the marine defense industry. As the project lead, you will manage your own workload, ensure outputs, and lead on meetings and workshops. You will have creative freedom to suggest changes and develop the project plan.

This position is funded through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and includes a £4000 training budget and 10% of your time dedicated to your personal development. You will also have access to the University of Bristol's USS pension scheme with generous employer contributions.

The project aims to develop a new process for designing and manufacturing advanced composite/polymer materials for the marine defense sector. You will work closely with the University's School of Civil, Aerospace and Design (CADE) Engineering and Tod Technology to achieve this goal.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a project to design and manufacture advanced composite/polymer materials for the marine defense sector
  • Manage your own workload and ensure project outputs
  • Lead on meetings and workshops with the project team and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the University's School of CADE Engineering and Tod Technology to achieve project goals
  • Develop and implement a project plan with creative freedom to suggest changes

Requirements:

  • Higher degree in Engineering or Chemistry (PhD preferred)
  • Strong chemical formulation skills
  • Strong background in chemical or physical sciences and composite engineering
