About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive their shopping in a timely and efficient manner. You will be the face of Tesco out on the road, delivering all the way from Lands' End to John O'Groats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer shopping trips in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers are satisfied with their shopping experience.
  • Ensure that the van and trays are clean and tidy, and that the back yard is clear of rubbish.
  • Load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
  • Talk to customers about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions.
  • Take care of products and deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Call customers before arriving at their property if early, and call the store if running 30 or more minutes late.

Requirements
  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
