Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Barista to join our dynamic team at Banco Cafe & Bistro. As a Senior Barista, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality beverages and maintaining a welcoming café environment. You will lead by example, mentoring junior staff and ensuring that all operations run smoothly during your shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee and tea beverages to the highest standards.
  • Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
  • Train and mentor new baristas on beverage preparation techniques and customer service skills.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, placing orders when necessary.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to help others, fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques, ensuring quality control.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic work environment.

Experience

  • Food safety: 1 year (preferred)
