About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to join our team at Social Security Scotland. As a key member of our Architecture and Design branch, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing cutting-edge application architectures that support our digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and design appropriate application architectures that meet business needs.
  • Provide direction and challenge to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business and digital strategies.
  • Proactively identify problems and translate them into non-technical descriptions, driving solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Act as the application architecture domain expert, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of architectural strategies and governance activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Build a deep understanding of business and digital strategies, leveraging them to identify suitable solutions and drive innovation.
  • Provide guidance on technology best practices and continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence.
