About the Role:

Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our team at Cwtch Mawr Rumney, a supportive transitional home for individuals aged 16 to 21. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in shaping a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals with complex needs associated with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Team: Supervise and support a team of dedicated support workers, fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
  2. Deliver Person-Centred Care: Provide high-quality, individualised support for young people with autism and other complex needs.
  3. Empower Growth: Assist in creating personalised care plans and promoting independence, life skills, and resilience.
  4. Ensure Safety and Well-Being: Maintain a safe, nurturing environment where individuals feel valued and supported.
  5. Build Strong Connections: Work closely with families, guardians, and external professionals to ensure holistic care.
  6. Support Management: Assist with administrative tasks, staff training, and development.

About You:

You have experience in a support worker role within care or education settings and are ready to take on a senior role. You have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. A full driving license is essential for this role.
