Senior/Principal and Associate Level Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer

Fairhurst is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal and Associate Level Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to join our London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing projects, developing junior staff, and maintaining a strong client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing efforts, identifying new opportunities and promoting the company's services.
Requirements
  • A good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, or Civil Engineering, with an MSc in Geotechnics or Engineering Geology being beneficial.
  • Chartered or near-chartered status with a professional institution, such as the Geological Society or the Institution of Civil Engineers.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, with a strong understanding of project management and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, RocScience, Oasys, gINT, PLAXIS, and Wallap software.
