We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling processes for our projects, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, particularly NEC contracts. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule development and conduct schedule analysis to identify critical paths, dependencies, and potential risks.
About the Role:
This position requires a strong background in project planning and scheduling, with experience in claims analysis and resolution. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and a proven track record in successfully managing claims within project-based industries. Additionally, they should be proficient in Microsoft packages, including Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and hold certifications such as 802A: Primavera P6 Professional Advanced and APM PMQ Qualified.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Contract Compliance & Claims: Understanding NEC contracts, ensuring project schedules align with contractual obligations, and addressing disputes and claims.
- Project Planning: Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, considering project scope, resource requirements, and timelines.
- Scheduling and Analysis: Conducting schedule analysis, identifying critical paths, dependencies, and potential risks, and collaborating with project teams to optimize schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning and scheduling, with experience in claims analysis and resolution. They should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and a proven track record in successfully managing claims within project-based industries. Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
