## Senior Payroll Administrator
### Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team at Portfolio Payroll Limited. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients.
### Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all payroll data, including new starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, and other adjustments, are accurately communicated to the payroll bureau.
* Collect and verify payroll data from the time and attendance system, ensuring appropriate authorizations are in place to submit to the external bureau in accordance with the payroll schedule.
* Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies and procedures.
* Review payroll reports from the bureau and communicate any changes or corrections needed in a timely manner.
* Manage pension scheme to ensure up-to-date data is maintained on the pension site.
* Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding pension deductions and contributions.
* Prepare, review, and distribute payroll reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with internal reporting deadlines.
* Resolve payroll queries in collaboration with the external bureau and Payroll Assistants, liaising directly with employees and third parties where necessary.
* Oversee the maintenance and updating of payroll systems.
* Maintain the finance system in relation to the payroll ledger with accurate payroll postings and ensure balance sheets are reconciled in line with the payroll processing deadlines.
### Requirements
* Previous experience in a busy high-volume payroll environment.
* Strong payroll legislation knowledge and ability to complete manual calculations.
* Strong technical knowledge to assist in dealing with complex payroll queries effectively.
* Experience working on a finance system, completing postings, reporting, and reconciling balance sheets.
* Good numerical skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
* Stakeholder management.
* Good customer service skills, including verbal and written experience.
* Strong Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables.
