Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Huddersfield area, is seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join their team. As a key member of the production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing processes and the efficient running of the machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Programming, setting, and operating a variety of machines, including CNC, panel saws, spindle moulder, and edge bander.
- Working to a schedule and delivering projects within the required timescale.
- Preparing component parts ready for the joinery workshop.
- Proven knowledge of the joinery manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and responsibilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance.
- Strive towards continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to meeting strict deadlines.
- Previous experience in similar workshop environments.
- Experience in Alphacam software and cutting list programs.
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
