About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our team as a crisis mental health clinician. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for triaging and assessing needs, developing effective partnerships with other statutory services, local authorities, and the third sector. You will also carry out face-to-face mental health assessments when required and facilitate debrief sessions for the team at the end of each shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced mental health registrants to shape the new service and provide clinical supervision to the team. You will have the unique opportunity to help in the development of this service, evaluating and monitoring all aspects to ensure its success.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role, but Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Key Accountabilities:
  • To be the responsible clinician on shift to make clinical decisions and provide support to callers, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Triage and assessment of needs, including whether a full mental health assessment is required.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other statutory services, local authorities, and the third sector.
  • Carry out face-to-face mental health assessments when required.
  • Facilitate debrief sessions for the team at the end of each shift.
