Job Summary:

The Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers is seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Nurse Registrar to join our team. As a key member of our animal department, you will play a vital role in supporting the veterinary care of our animals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the veterinary care of animals in the park, working closely with our veterinary surgeons to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Animals to manage animal transport logistics and documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist with veterinary record keeping and maintain oversight of our ZIMS database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work with the Director of Animals to ensure all necessary licensing and accreditation documentation is maintained.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous professional development, with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
  • Flexibility to work during peak periods, including weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays.
