Electrical Engineer Role

Galaxy Personnel is currently recruiting for an electrical engineer to join their busy workshop team.


Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely, with particular emphasis on electrical systems and switching.
  • Carry out routine safety system checks and record them accordingly.
  • Manage and oversee the testing of electrical products and systems, as well as the implementation of new electrical equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is serviced in accordance with the company's schedule and maintain records of work carried out.
  • Liaise with external service providers to ensure equipment not able to be serviced internally is scheduled and recorded.
  • Log scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs, and agree on further work required.

Requirements
  • Engineering qualification with considerable experience in operational engineering.
  • Ideal electrical specific qualification, such as the 18th Edition Electrical Regs.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience and knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, electrical fault-finding skills, and strong manual dexterity.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
