Maths Tutor Role

We are working with an Alternative Provision in Salford, who require Tutors to lead Maths sessions for small groups of KS3 students. You will be required to run 10 sessions a week, over 3 days of the week. The role requires you to be able to plan and deliver Maths Sessions. You should be confident in covering the Maths curriculum and also focus on Behaviour Management and Pastoral Support. The role will involve working with students who require additional support, and you will need to be able to adapt your teaching style to meet their needs. You will be working as part of a team to deliver a high-quality education to students who may have struggled in mainstream schools. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Maths sessions to small groups of KS3 students
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Management strategies to support students
  • Work closely with the teaching team to deliver a high-quality education
  • Assess and track student progress, and make adjustments to teaching strategies as needed

Requirements:
  • Strong Maths knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum
  • Previous experience working with young people, either in a teaching or support role
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training and Prevent awareness training
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances
