Human Resources Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Fettes College. As a key member of our Human Resources Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the College's business functions and delivering a professional HR service to our staff and management.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment: Lead on safer recruitment requirements, including job description review, job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews. Liaise with the HR Administrator on reference checking, GTCS requirements, and PVG requirements.
- Employee Relations: Provide high-quality generalist HR liaison, advice, support, and coaching to managers and employees. Lead on employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management.
- HR Administration: Support the HR Administrator with keeping the HR Database (CIPHR) current with starters and leavers, and liaising with Payroll on absences, changes, etc.
- Policies and Procedures: Review and make recommendations on current policies, suggest new policies, and ensure that new employment legislation is incorporated.
- Employee Engagement: Drive the appraisal process through the College, enabling managers and supervisors to engage with the process and support employees to gain value and personal development from it.
- Extensive Human Resources experience, preferably in an independent school setting.
- Proven track record of delivering a professional HR service to staff and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex HR data and make informed decisions.
