Mixing Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mixing Supervisor to join our team at DCS Manufacturing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the mixing operations within our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the efficient operation of mixing equipment and machinery.
  • Implement and maintain safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Test and approve mixed products to meet required specifications.
  • Manage raw material handling and storage.
  • Lead 5S deployment across the mixing area to maintain an organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with management and colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve production problems.
  • Execute production plans to meet demand and quality standards.
  • Support the engineering team by reporting maintenance requirements and assisting with repairs.
  • Continuously improve mixing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency.
  • Train new team members on mixing procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate records for production, quality control, and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • RQF Level 2 / GCSE (Grades A*-C) or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence.
  • Experience in FMCG manufacturing/production processes.
  • Previous experience in mixing environments, ideally in chemicals, detergents, solvents, paints, alcohol, or building materials.
  • Technical knowledge of mixing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
