A leading US law firm's finance team in London is seeking a skilled finance lawyer to focus on leveraged finance and acquisition finance transactions for both sponsors and lenders.

The Team:

The finance team is renowned for its ability to advise financial sponsors and lenders on high-profile acquisition finance and leveraged finance transactions. Their focus on leveraged buyouts (LBOs), recapitalisations, and related financing products, including high-yield debt and private credit, has positioned them as leaders in the market.

The Role:

The successful candidate will provide strategic advice on leveraged and acquisition finance transactions. You will work closely with clients to structure deals involving high-yield bonds, syndicated loans, and private credit facilities, while offering valuable insights on market conditions and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising financial sponsors and lenders on a range of acquisition finance and leveraged finance transactions
  • Working on leveraged buyouts (LBOs), including structuring high-yield bonds and syndicated loans
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions for complex financing deals
  • Offering insights on market trends and regulatory developments relevant to financing transactions
  • Managing cross-border and multi-jurisdictional finance transactions

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years PQE with experience in leveraged finance and acquisition finance from a top-tier finance practice, including:

  • Strong experience advising sponsors and lenders in leveraged finance deals
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience working on cross-border, multi-jurisdictional transactions
  • Ability to deliver practical, commercially driven advice
