About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced examiner to join our team of experts in marking GCSE Chinese language papers.

As an examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to the conditions of recognition and examination procedures.

The marking process will take place between May and July, and you will receive training between May and June to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the role effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
  • Complete all administration tasks as specified
Requirements
  • You will have a degree or equivalent qualification
  • You will be a qualified teacher, with qualifications obtained in the UK or overseas
  • You will have relevant teaching and/or assessment experience within the last 10 years
Competencies
  • You will have the ability to work well under pressure
  • You will have the ability to meet deadlines
  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme
