About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence sector. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team in delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Develop and implement new menu ideas that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of chefs to deliver high-quality food and excellent customer service.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our kitchens are clean and well-maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to deliver our menu.
  • Customer Feedback: Monitor and respond to customer feedback to ensure that we are meeting their needs and expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
  • Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, and a Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
