Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Body Repairer to join our team at Alexander Dennis in Anston.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle repairs on both warranty and chargeable basis in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle repairs on both warranty and chargeable basis
  • Prepare metal, plastic, and fibreglass to a pre-paint standard
  • Ensure that all PPE, tools, and equipment are used correctly
  • Interpret and implement Technical Service Instruction data
  • Be reliable, flexible, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude towards fellow workers and customers

Requirements

  • Experienced in body panel and mechanical repair of bus, coach, and or similar commercial vehicles
  • Practical experience in glass fibre repairs/refurbishment, structural framework repairs/refurbishment, body panel shaping, cutting, painting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, often to tight deadlines
  • Experience in gas, electric, MIG, and TIG welding
  • Experience in LGV/HGV and PSV carrying vehicles, if holding vocational PSV or HGV licenses – even better
  • A full UK driving license would be an advantage for this role

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a generous salary package, 37-hour working week, annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
