Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Capital Project Manager to join our Estates Capital Projects Team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex capital projects, with a strong background in project management and a good understanding of the NHS capital processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure project scopes are clearly defined and agreed, and work with the wider project team to deliver the project scope within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Develop options appraisals from highly complex facts and information, and lead multi-discipline teams to deliver best-fit solutions.
  • Manage and support a team of project managers, and contribute to the management of a team of project managers supported by clinical colleagues and teams of in-house and externally appointed specialist advisors.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional building or engineering qualification, or appropriate Masters level or relevant working experience equivalent to the above.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Capital processes and documentation, and experience of successfully managing and delivering multi-faceted, complex major capital projects.
  • Ability to provide and receive highly complex information at all levels within the Trust and with external stakeholders, and ability to adapt to unpredictable work patterns.
