Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) and Complaints Team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of complaints and providing advice, information, and support to patients, their families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Provide expert advice, information, and support to patients, their families, and carers
  • Deliver complaints training to all levels of Trust staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient complaints
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient services

Requirements

  • Previous experience in managing complaints and providing patient advocacy services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting and in a customer-focused role
