About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to join our client's team in Swindon. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary package that includes a base salary of £60,000-£90,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as personal pension contributions and private healthcare.

As a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing drainage schemes for residential and commercial developments, as well as conducting flood risk assessments. You will work closely with clients, council officers, and design team members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant degree qualification (e.g., Civil Engineering) and experience in flood risk assessments, designing drainage schemes using software like Micro Drainage and/or Info Drainage. You will also need to have strong knowledge of AUTOCAD and planning and technical guidance such as the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance, and Building Regulations. Additionally, you will require strong numeracy, oral communication, and written English skills, as well as experience in all Microsoft Office packages and a full UK driving licence.
