We are partnering with a Local Authority in Barnet to support the appointment of a Mechanical Inspector on a 2-month contract, with potential for extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Mechanical Inspector will ensure that all mechanical works carried out on site by contractors meet the project's technical brief specification and drawings, as well as legislative requirements.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will maintain detailed site notes and diaries on a daily basis.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will establish and maintain effective communication channels with client officers, contractors, residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will conduct site inspections and monitoring on assigned projects, covering for colleagues as required.
  • The Mechanical Inspector will assist in preparing project reports for committees, area forums, working parties, client organizations, tenant associations, and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Higher National Certificate in building services engineering or equivalent, with practical experience.
  • Excellent detailed technical knowledge of mechanical installations, gas installation works, heat networks, and communal heating systems, and their repair and refurbishment.

Please note:

  • You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
