Cybersecurity Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have broad cybersecurity skills and experience in IT or security operations, including vulnerability management, red teaming, or incident response.

  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity tickets, coordinating with IT and other teams to address access control, intrusion detection, malware defence, and vulnerability management.
  • Conduct and document risk assessments, testing cybersecurity controls for effectiveness.
  • Lead cybersecurity drills and awareness talks to improve security readiness across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies, tracking any exceptions.
  • Analyse threat intelligence and provide timely updates on potential threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT and other teams on anomaly detection, disaster recovery, and remediation efforts.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. We offer a dynamic and innovative work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT or security operations, including vulnerability management, red teaming, or incident response.
  • BS/BA in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong technical expertise.
  • Effective communicator across digital platforms, excelling in remote environments while staying organized and adaptable to evolving threats.
  • Strong technical and hands-on experience with help desk operations, SOC tools, and support roles.
  • Proficient in one or more cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, IEC, CIS, ATT&CK, BIMCO, IACS).

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in additional cybersecurity tools, such as threat hunting, EDR, or cloud security platforms.
  • Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) for strategic threat analysis.
