Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our dynamic team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our Audiology and Hearing Therapy Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hearing assessment services for both adults and children.

Your primary duties will include conducting diagnostic and rehabilitative test procedures, providing scientific support to the department in developing services, and contributing to other areas of audiology service provision.

About the Role

  • Undertake diagnostic and rehabilitative test procedures on both adults and children
  • Provide scientific support to the Audiology and Hearing Therapy Department in developing services
  • Contribute to other areas of audiology service provision, including audit and service evaluation
  • Take a lead role in a core governance function within the service, such as health and safety, infection control, safeguarding, or other as required

Requirements

  • BSc Hons Audiology or equivalent qualification
  • Clinical training in diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures relevant to the role
  • Holder of relevant UK State Registration in Audiology OR able to demonstrate eligibility and in process of applyingExperience assisting in vestibular clinics
  • Significant clinical experience (which could include the Scientist Training Programme)
  • Experience of independently performing audiometry and tympanometry for an ENT clinic
  • Experience in programming hearing aids and verification with real ear measurements
  • Experience working in paediatric audiology clinics
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
