Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at ADM in Corby, UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the workshop operation and maintaining our vehicle fleet to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with the distribution manager to ensure planned maintenance and servicing of company-operated vehicles.
- Organize workshop throughput and control work levels to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained to the standards set by the Fleet Engineer, with advice on legislative changes as needed.
- Inform the distribution department of any vehicle downtime that may impact operations.
- Organize MOT preparation and bookings, liaising with distribution for vehicle release.
- Maintain all vehicle records, including defect reports.
- Ensure maintenance is carried out in the most economical manner, particularly in repair or replace situations.
- Organize outside repair services, such as warranty, specialist repairs, and tyre servicing, in consultation with the Fleet Engineer.
- Ensure all workshop equipment is maintained in safe working condition, as required by legislation.
- Familiarity with common Microsoft applications.
- Competent in vehicle diagnostics.
- Understanding of DoT operating methods and procedures.
- LGVC licence (preferred).
- Knowledge of bulk tanker pressure systems.
- GSCE educated, with grade C or above in mathematics and English or equivalent.
- City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering or recognized equivalent qualification.
- Certificate of professional competence in Road Transport (or equivalent).
- Demonstrable vehicle workshop experience.
