Job Title: Educational Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic. As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and wellbeing of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational and psychological assessments to identify strengths and areas of need for children and young people.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support the learning and development of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective support and interventions.
  • Provide training and support to staff on educational and psychological principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to educational and psychological services.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Educational Psychology (doctorate or UK equivalent) and registration with the HCPC as an Educational Psychologist.
  • 2 years post-qualification experience in carrying out educational assessments and/or psychological assessments.
  • Experience in different settings, including UK schools, independent schools, public sector, and private practice.
  • Knowledge of the UK educational system and significant roles of school staff.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with school staff (SENCO) to achieve best outcomes.
  • Experience in using WISC-V, WIAT-III, WPPSI-IV, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children who have learning difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, and various mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the young person's family and other professionals.
