Job Summary

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team at Armstrong Knight. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of accounts receivable, ensuring that all payments are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.

About the Role:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of accounts receivable, including processing incoming payments and reconciling the accounts receivable ledger
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to review and update financial reports, ensuring accurate and complete records
  • Perform regular reviews of accounts receivable, taking full accountability for the integrity and accuracy of information and data
  • Support depot managers with invoice runs, including the production of print invoices where required
  • Negotiate with late payers and escalate 3rd party legal debt collections when necessary

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as an accounts receivable clerk or manager (3 years plus)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting collection regulations and data entry skills
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Sage 50); ability to operate multiple business systems
  • Tenacity to pursue debts with good customer manner and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Good team player
