Prestigious Opportunity:

A market-leading Global Retail organisation is seeking an IT professional with knowledge of Managed File Transfer to join their team in Blackburn. As an MFT Interface Analyst/Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising file transfer and interface systems, creating and managing dashboards for continuous monitoring, and ensuring secure and efficient file transfer across internal and external platforms.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and optimise file transfer and interface systems to ensure seamless integration and high performance.
  2. Create and manage dashboards for continuous monitoring of file transfer interfaces to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Regularly review and refine systems and processes to enhance performance, reliability, and compliance, reducing the risk of data breaches and system downtime.
  4. Develop and implement effective strategies for ensuring secure and efficient file transfer across internal and external platforms, maintaining the integrity and reliability of data operations.
  5. Oversee SFTP accounts, interface storage, and archiving to ensure all sensitive data is properly secured and maintained.
  6. Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate these systems seamlessly into broader data pipelines, streamlining business operations and improving overall efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge or understanding of MFT platforms and experience in scripting and/or automation (e.g., BASH, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to create and manage dashboards for continuous monitoring and documentation of file transfer interfaces.
  • Knowledge of database systems and query languages (e.g., SQL) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience ensuring the integrity and reliability of data operations, including identifying and resolving issues related to data quality and consistency.

Estimated Salary: £38,000 - £50,000 per annum
