Job Description:

This role is responsible for supporting analytical work efforts within a Line of Business. Key responsibilities include leveraging databases to acquire client and performance data, transforming extracted data into meaningful insights, and delivering those insights to leaders to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supports the extraction of data using a variety of programming languages and applies knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems.
  2. Connects provisioned data across multiple sources and performs necessary transformations using technical, business, and process knowledge.
  3. Performs quantitative techniques and analysis on customer, transaction, and performance data, and provides actionable insights for business partners.
  4. Communicates complex subjects in a simple and engaging manner to non-technical and technical business partners using various software tools.
  5. Assists with conducting quality comparison checks on analysis output and escalates data inconsistencies to leadership.
  6. Follows quality workflow process and documentation requirements to adhere to standards and ensure business continuity.
LOB Specific Information:

This role is responsible for capturing, documenting, and maintaining data use inventory for the Consumer & Small Business Anti-Money Laundering organization as part of Client Protection.

This includes engaging with model and strategy teams, capturing data use at the data element level, and working with Inventory management leader to ensure oversight of data use change governance.

The Analyst will work with the Inventory Management Leader to consult with data stewards, process owners, subject matter experts, technical experts, end users, and other stakeholders to gather information about current and target state business process, data attributes, and data sources.

The Analyst will document and provide definitions for processes and procedures, data models, data quality controls, data lineage, and data dictionaries using industry standard methods.

The Analyst will analyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.

The Analyst will assess and identify deficiencies against internal policies and standards or industry best practices, providing formal recommendations and requirements to remediate.

The Analyst will collaborate and partner with technology teams, architects, and other key stakeholders to drive solutions which provide ongoing operational excellence and resiliency to metadata and control environment challenges.

The Analyst will review and provide input to technical solution designs from a business point of view and recommend alternatives.

The Analyst will communicate plans, progress, and risks appropriately to stakeholders and sponsors.

LOB Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with technology applications using relational databases and/or rule engines.

Understands metadata and data supply chains and ETL processes.

Experience with metadata and metadata applications, data application mapping, relational databases, file systems, and reading & writing code.

Documentation experience and building standardized templates, outputs.

Experience in data intelligence/analytics, data management, data governance, data supply chain, data quality management, and/or data architecture.

Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management and data concepts.

Client engagement skills, independent and proactive analyst, excellent communication skills, and influencer.

Develops and continuously improves procedure-driven functions to demonstrate sustainability, repeatability, and defensibility of program.

Strong Experience in Microsoft Office applications.

LOB Desired Qualifications:

Experience with data mapping between applications using disparate metadata documentation.

Experience with metadata intelligence applications.

Understanding of enterprise ADS internal architecture designs.

Experience reading and writing python code, financial services expertise, and subject matter expertise in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions.
