About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team at Nevill Hall Hospital. As a Cardiac Health and Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic care to patients with coronary heart disease, cardiac surgery, and heart failure, incorporating physical and psychological aspects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for patients throughout their condition.
  • Provide professional guidance and education to healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
  • Leverage clinical expertise to lead and develop CHD and heart failure care, aligning with national guidelines and standards.
  • Pursue research opportunities and contribute to publications.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • First-level nurse registration (RGN/RN)
  • Nursing degree
  • Evidence of post-registration development and cardiac course completion
  • Post-registration experience in cardiac nursing, teaching, and professional support

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Health promotion training
  • Supplementary or independent prescribing certification
  • Masters-level qualification or working towards it
  • Experience in primary care settings, health promotion, or rehabilitation
