French and Spanish Instructor

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic French and Spanish Teacher to join our team at Quantum Scholars in Berkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our students' language learning journey.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and dynamic French and/or Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, catering to varying levels of ability.
• Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum, including creating innovative resources and schemes of work that enhance student engagement and achievement.
• Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective strategies to support individual learning needs.
• Lead or assist in extracurricular clubs, language exchanges, or cultural trips to enhance students' exposure to the language and culture outside the classroom.
• Work closely with the MFL department and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best teaching practices.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning languages.

Requirements:

• Must be a qualified teacher.
• Experience: Demonstrable experience teaching French and/or Spanish at the secondary school level (experience with GCSEs is preferred).
• Ability to build rapport with students and effectively communicate complex language concepts.
• Enthusiasm for promoting language learning and cultural awareness among students.
• Strong skills in maintaining discipline and managing a positive learning environment.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
