Aquatic Educator

Job Summary

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is seeking a qualified Aquatic Educator to deliver swimming lessons to children and adults of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons in accordance with the Scottish Swimming (SASA) Learn to Swim programme
• Assess and record the progress of swimmers through continuous assessment methods
• Promote the Fife Sports and Leisure Trust Learn to Swim programme and provide information on alternative products and services
• Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and additional training as required

Requirements

Minimum Level 1 Certificate for Teaching Aquatics with a commitment to qualify to UKCC Level 2 Teacher of Aquatics / ASA, Full Teacher of Swimming or equivalent within an agreed timescale.

First Aid Qualification and Child Protection Training are also required.

About the Role

In this role, you will work with swimmers of all abilities, from complete beginners to stroke development level, and liaise with parents to ensure a positive learning experience.

You will be responsible for delivering swimming lessons in a fun and innovative way, utilising continuous assessment methods to observe, analyse and record progress.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and able to communicate effectively with swimmers, parents and team members.
