We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect (VMware, NSX/ACI) to support a part of our end client's new data centre build. Ideally, the candidate should have recent experience—within the last 3 years or so—focused on private cloud, VMware, IAAS integration, migrations with NSX and ACI integration would be a bonus. Essentially, someone who's been involved in building the platform rather than simply consuming it.

  • Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect (VMware, NSX/ACI)
  • Type of Role: Contract – 12 Months Initially
  • Location: Hybrid (2 Days a Week Onsite)
  • Outside IR35/Inside IR35/FTC
  • Sector: Financial Services

Infrastructure Program

The programme involves building the data centre, fit-out, setting up shared services and ecosystems and migrating the bank's operations to the new data centre without impacting service.

  • The programme is expected to run until completion.
  • The bank has a small core team of around 18 people and relies on resource augmentation to bring in skills as needed to meet demand peaks.

Project/Programme/Initiative: New Data Centre Infrastructure

  • Familiarity with data centre infrastructure, migration/integration experience is a big plus.
  • Focus on private cloud, VMware, IAAS integration, migrations with NSX and ACI integration would be a bonus. Essentially, someone who's been involved in building the platform rather than simply consuming it.
  • Financial Services Background
  • Location for this role is Hybrid. A preference would be for candidates closer to the company's key sites however will consider talent from elsewhere with a requirement to travel when required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to convey technically complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.

About the Role

This is a contract role with Gibbs Consulting IT Services & Solutions, supporting a part of our end client's new data centre build. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in private cloud, VMware, IAAS integration, and migrations with NSX and ACI integration.
