Job Description

Job Summary

The Placement Services Team Manager will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the delivery of high-quality placement services to children and families in Moray. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work and experience in managing teams and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of social workers and other professionals in the delivery of placement services
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and families
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of resources
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of team members
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including children, families, and other agencies
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure high-quality service delivery

Requirements

  • Significant post-qualifying experience in social work, preferably in a leadership or management role
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality services and improving outcomes for children and families
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Children's Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 and the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014
