Crime Duty Solicitor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join our Crime Team in South East London, representing clients detained at police stations and handling a caseload of criminal defence cases.

About the Role:
  • Represent clients detained at police stations and handle a caseload of criminal defence cases across a range of different offences.
  • Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates' Court, including summary trials and Crown Court hearings.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • At least 1 year's PQE in criminal matters.
  • Crime duty accreditation is preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
  • IT proficiency.
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates a pragmatic, professional and positive approach.
  • Passion for publically funded work.
  • Attention to detail and confidence to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent client and team building skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
