Microbiology Specialist

Located in purpose-built, UKAS accredited laboratories in Sittingbourne, Slough, and Manchester, our team of skilled scientists work closely together to ensure the highest standards of service.

We are seeking a Microbiology Lab Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As part of our Laboratory Team, you will carry out microbiological testing on water, adhering to specific SOPs and ensuring all quality control procedures are followed to guarantee the validity of results. 1. You will be responsible for accurately recording and processing samples received in the laboratory, meeting client requirements within specified timeframes.
2. Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the laboratory is essential, ensuring all users comply with industry standards.
3. You will assist in maintaining the laboratory's accreditation to ISO 17025, ensuring the highest levels of quality and integrity.
4. Additionally, you will help ensure that all equipment and instrumentation are functioning correctly, enabling confidence in the accuracy of generated results.

1. You should be comfortable standing and walking for most of the day, due to the nature of the work.
2. In particular, the Slough lab requires reliable commuting or relocation before starting work.
