Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Blackbrook House care home. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and happiness of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day minor maintenance and repairs to a high standard, contributing to a happy and comfortable environment for our residents.
• Differentiate between minor repairs and when more specialist skills are required.
• Ensure equipment is used safely, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.

Requirements

• Previous gardening, building, or maintenance experience is desirable.
• A range of practical skills, including maintenance and gardening.
• Understanding of data protection and confidentiality and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
• Health and safety in the workplace.
