Estate Manager

The Role:
- To lead the estates and facilities function across the school, ensuring optimal use of physical resources for staff, students, and the community.
- Liaise with outsourced cleaning and catering staff to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Support senior leadership in managing repairs and maintenance budgets, and contribute to strategic estate planning.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture, representing the school on the Trust Health and Safety Committee.
- Maintain accurate records of key control, furniture, fittings, and building conditions, and coordinate schedules of repair, maintenance, and decoration.
- Ensure compliance with energy efficiency strategies and submit regular meter reads online.
- Create and manage a small item asset system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk assessments and policies related to operational H&S work.
- Up-to-date asbestos registers, fire risk assessments, EICRs, PAT Testing, Preventative Maintenance schedules.
- Frequent fire system maintenance and testing, with appropriate records kept.
- Cordinated fire drills with SLT.
- Staff H&S training records up to date.
- Full site compliance with Trust-appointed H&S Advisor and external SMEs.
About You:
- Previous experience in a school or Multi Academy Trust setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft products.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic knowledge of asset management systems.
- Enhanced DBS check and pre-employment checks completed.
