About the Role

Worcestershire Children First's Virtual School is responsible for ensuring that children and young people in care, previously in care, and those with a social worker receive the best possible educational provision and outcomes. We work closely with children, young people, and their families, as well as colleagues across Education, Social Care, and Health, to ensure our children and young people reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide business support activities to enable the Virtual School to meet its statutory obligations and provide timely and effective services to children, young people, their families, and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with the Virtual School team to develop and implement strategies to improve educational outcomes for looked-after children and young people.
  • Support the Virtual School Headteacher and Education Engagement Lead in their duties, including providing administrative assistance and coordinating events and meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to virtual education and looked-after children.
