Data Engineer

Micronclean is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our IT team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data storage, analysis, and reporting projects
- Lead the development and implementation of database, data warehousing, and BI solutions
- Design and implement reports and dashboards based on business requirements and data sources
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Perform regular system audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with evolving security standards
- Develop and maintain documentation for database, data warehousing, and BI configurations, processes, and solutions
- Strong expertise in database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Proficiency in SQL and database scripting languages
- Experience with BI and reporting tools and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, Crystal Reports)
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management and organisational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
- Experience generating reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
