About the Role

Micronclean is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our IT team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data storage, analysis, and reporting projects
  • Lead the development and implementation of database, data warehousing, and BI solutions
  • Design and implement reports and dashboards based on business requirements and data sources
  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Perform regular system audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with evolving security standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database, data warehousing, and BI configurations, processes, and solutions
Requirements
  • Strong expertise in database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Proficiency in SQL and database scripting languages
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, Crystal Reports)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
  • Experience generating reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
