International Finance Operations Director

The purpose of the role is to lead the International Finance team, collaborating closely with the CFO and senior Finance Leadership to ensure the team meets its short- and long-term objectives. This involves contributing to the development of the Finance Strategy, ensuring effective, efficient, and scalable operations.

Interaction with the US-based Finance team will be crucial to maintain a cohesive Global Finance team. Additionally, collaboration with other Shared Services COOs will drive the overall Shared Services brand and strategy.

Main accountabilities include driving the development of the Finance team Vision and Strategy, aligning objectives across the Finance team, fostering a culture of development and progression for Finance associates, and implementing training programs to equip them with essential skills.

The COO will oversee the effectiveness of the Global Finance Service Centre and drive efficiency improvements. They will also monitor Internal audit points, KPMG management letter points, and other areas for improvement, ensuring responsible teams address perceived control weaknesses.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Finance Vision and Strategy
  • Align Finance team objectives to achieve the Vision
  • Foster a culture of growth and development within the Finance team
  • Implement training programs to enhance Finance associate skills
  • Monitor and track international Finance headcount and resources
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure Finance team performance
  • Drive end-to-end process development and continuous improvement in the International Finance team
  • Ensure compliance with Internal audit points and KPMG management letter recommendations
  • Cultivate investment opportunities through close collaboration with other Finance teams

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries
  • Executive presence and confidence in driving strategic initiatives
  • Passion for leveraging technology and processes to drive organizational success
  • Proven experience in senior management or consultancy roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build productive working relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Likely to be a qualified accountant, but not necessary if relevant experience is demonstrated

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
